You can’t legislate respect, but my point is that mutual respect is already applied in political democracy as we know it and can be applied to the economy similarly — via a “democratically distributed income.”
To my astonishment, I discovered that it so happens that a DDI-as-supply-of- money provides the means to solve the problems of unemployment, poverty, taxation and public debt and would of itself increase sustainability. I had no notion that it would turn out to be such a practically powerful device.
If someone with the intelligence and experience with abstract thinking commensurate with a Ph.D. in philosophy couldn’t see any of that, there really might be no hope for Liberal society.
