While I agree with Mr. Crawford's critique, that is no reason to abandon the project. All new ideas for society get rejected at first blush for being 'impossible'.
As I see it, the issue boils down to a tension between the ideals of liberty and equality. I am convinced that to resolve that tension we must accept mutual respect as the ethic of justice. That would maximize liberty, but in a more socially oriented way, one consistent with people coexisting in a society together. For that, "Equality Is All We Need" (here in Medium).
