We live (in the U. S. A.) in a nation with a republican form of government as par of a democratic political process. We, the people, do have the power--and the responsibility--to make changes to society to make it better. That starts with new ideas--which can include a new idea concerning what justice is. Sadly, we have, as a group, abdicated that power.
