Wasn't the Gospel of Luke written after the Jewish revolt? Jesus might have actually said those words, but they might also have been included to illustrate Jesus's capacity as a prophet. If that is the case, this account loses some of its potency. That does go to the more general stricture: when we ground our faith in texts, we are putting our faith in the authors of the texts.
