There is still such a thing as material reality. There is a physical world in which human beings exist. We ignore that at our peril.

Narratives that conform with that reality are "rational" in a way that other narratives are not. The essence of racism is its irrationality (re. rationality in that sense): based on actual events over the course of time, it is rational for people 'of color' as a group to detest 'white' people as a group, but there is no rational basis for 'white' people as a group to detest people 'of color' as a group.

As for the specific question in the title of this article, it is simply a misuse of that word. The elements that give meaning to the word "racist" are not present in that question. It is a meaningless question.
