The point of science is understanding of material existence can that be verified or falsified by other people. People can accept as valid an immaterial insight (whether a secular intuition or a sacral revelation), but they cannot repeat the experience of that insight. More to the point, no one can invalidate an immaterial insight of another person: it can only be accepted or rejected, not refuted--though Lord knows how many people have been killed over differences regarding sacral and secular (i.e., ideological) revelations . At the same time, there is nothing inherently anti-sacral about science; it is neither more nor less than human beings doing their best to explain material existence, using the rational faculty God gave us, for all human beings' edification.
