The Contemporary Political Right in the U.S.: A Bunch of Nine-Year-Old’s

In my experience, no person on the planet is more certain than the typical American nine-year-old is that he or she should be the one in charge.

Typically, they have discovered the power of logic.

Unfortunately, they have not learned of the necessity to examine critically their premises.

Nothing describes better the typical person on the political right in this country these days.

In my experience, people on the left are at least marginally more mature mentally. They might not have thought things all the way through, but they at least have given some thought to their positions; they don’t just use specious logic to justify any ludicrous thought that might pop into their heads that will support their conviction that their self-centered desires and whims (most of all, at this point, for rightists, a blind lust for power over other people) is all that matters in this world.
