While I have you here I'll beg you to read "A New Liberalism" (which at "29 mins" might be a record length for an offering here in Medium). The approach to justly governing society in it could be a conceptual tonic that can be used to rejuvenate Liberal society. An other-centered individualism comes down to an 'absolute', baseline minimum of respect for other people. That maximizes liberty. Meanwhile, 'equality' becomes an unnecessary complication: all that matters for justice is that the beings involved are fellow humans.
