Thanks for that--though, really, has there ever been much in the way of "critical thinking" among the general populace?

It looks to me like what we are witnessing is the collapse of the Liberal narrative for justly governing governance, as its conceptual and practical inadequacies are being exposed. What we need is a new narrative based on an advance in understanding what justice is. Here is one candidate for that intellectual position: "A New Liberalism" (here in Medium: for the benefit of any 'guest readers', not behind the paywall).
