Thank you for that very informative exposition. I have to acknowledge that I lack the chops to wade into this discussion, but if I may just dip my big toe into it, it seems to me that focusing on “maths” as a human language, with its own agreed-upon symbols, syntax, and logic, emphasizes its place as a means of describing the physical world, as opposed to being something that is ‘of’ that world.
