Thank you for that. Stocks are an issue that we need very much to address.

Stocks have lost their initial purpose. Back in the day they were a means to garner capital to get an enterprise off the ground. Today that is no longer the case.

Nowadays businesses are started with money from direct investors. It is only after a business is established that it ‘goes public’. The purpose of selling stocks at that point is for the initial investors to make a killing by being allowed to convert their investments into stocks at a price that guarantees they will be able to sell them for a hefty profit once the suckers — the general public — are allowed into the process.
