Thank you for that rigorous analysis.

I agree with those who characterize ideologies as secular religions. Like theological religions, they are based on beliefs. That makes it easy for people, perhaps unconsciously, to substitute ideologies for theologies in their churches — or at least commingle the two. Clearly, many have done so. Haven’t they read in the Bible about the errancy of serving two masters?
