Thank you, Dr. Giles, for taking the time to read some of what I have written. I very much appreciate that you didn’t just dismiss it, coming from someone outside Academia.
The biggest difference between UBI and DDI is that that former involves taxes and the latter does not.
I admit to being disappointed that you are not more enthusiastic about the ideas in themselves. I thought I have advanced the understanding of justice.
I thought that because I have done my reading. I’ve been working on this for very nearly 40 years.
It is contrary to my nature to press, but I do hope you will look at my summary of Real Justice. (It is only a “5 min read.”) It is an’ought’ from ‘is’. I’m not aware of anyone who has even claimed to have accomplished that.
I think that people who aren’t expert are afraid to commit themselves to any proposed solution to any problem related to society, be it justice or material outcomes related to the economy. Why, I don’t know. Anybody who can read English can understand this stuff. Of course, there are also selfishness and intellectual laziness to consider. At any rate, that is why experts must lead the way in advocating on behalf of actual advances in such knowledge.
