So you can't tell the difference between a Teddy Bear and a real bear?

I know from personal experience that where I live winters are shorter and milder than they were in my youth. My personal experience is consistent with what scientists are saying. I am not taking one person's word for it. I am accepting what the vast majority of people with the requisite knowledge are saying.

As a matter of practical ethics, if unsure of the potential outcomes of possible actions, it is better to err on the side of less potential harm. Are you certain that global warming either does not exist or portends no particular harm?

Do we have to put trust at some point in other people? As has been the case throughout human history, the answer to that question is 'yes'. If trust is no longer a possibility, then civilization has no chance for survival.

'Justified' willful ignorance is an easy way to avoid taking responsibility to make the effort to change the trajectory of civilization.
