So stop tipping in order to create the "objective circumstances" (Marx's phrase) that will drive people who have relied on tips for their livelihood to become the vanguard of a radicalized revolution to bring down capitalism?

Or, we could advocate for a change that would not require tearing down the existing institutional arrangements but would create a guaranteed (bulletproof, actually) minimum income that a person could actually live on (say, at least $15/hr.; $600/wk.): "Same Economy, Way Better Outcomes for Society" (here in Medium, but not behind the paywall). That would be accomplished, by the way, without imposing any cost on employers, without redistributing anything, and without imposing any limit on income/wealth.
