One proposal would truly bring democracy to the economy (with a democratically distributed income--that a person could actually live on) while achieving de-growth by having demographics govern total output (passively but effectively), among other good outcomes: "De-growth with Only Positive Effects" (here in Medium, but--for the benefit of any 'guest readers'--not behind the paywall).
