Of course, contemporarily Jesus was not portrayed as being conceived by God, born of a virgin in a manger, etc. All that came later.

I concluded a long time ago that the idea of Jesus as something other than a 'man of God' was a categorical error that has cost humanity dearly. He surely died as (at the minimum) a Son of God, but I have come to believe that he was a man who decided just to start out walking, with no (geographical) destination and nothing but faith in God to sustain him. Along the way he learned things he sought to share with the rest of humanity.
