Might a better "lens" be 'constitutionalism', i.e., some culturally recognized meta-value(s) to be formally enumerated to govern governance? For a geopolitical entity that is the creation of colonial powers, that might very well entail rather different governance in various ethnic enclaves--but within an overall structure founded upon the most universal values available. Hopefully, a common economic system would be achievable, as size matters a great deal on this planet in that realm. I guess the whole thing would be a kind of mini-E.U.--but is there anything inherently wrong with that?
