Liberty for all means allowing other people to live their lives as much as possible according to their beliefs. The political agenda of conservatism in this country these days seeks to impose moral beliefs on everyone concerning things that are simply not the business of any other people — and especially no business of the state.

Whether a woman should be free to choose to have an abortion is an example. I do believe abortion is a sin, but I believe that morally an abortion is strictly between everyone participating in an abortion and God. It isn’t any of your business. It isn’t any of my business. For sure, isn’t any of the state’s business.
