It does come down to what people are required to accept as knowledge. Any claim beyond--transcending--what can be experienced within material existence is valid for whoever accepts it, but is of no relevance to anyone else (as a knowledge claim, as opposed to actions to which such a claim might lead, which certainly can be relevant for other people). Knowledge emanating from material existence must be accepted by all people. What might be done with such knowledge can be up for debate, but for human beings to deny the realities extant in material existence is to invite material disaster.
