In the U.S., we have a democratic political process. All this talk of how 'it isn't really a democracy' is nothing but a coward's excuse to do nothing but complain and wring hands. We, the people, can accomplish anything we want if we will but exercise our political rights. Nothing has to be "destroyed;" nobody has to be "disenfranchised."
