In The Prophet Kahlil Gibran wrote, "He who knows and knows he knows is wise. Follow him." Yet, to claim to know the solution to any problem is to invite all manner of 'reasons' for ignoring or otherwise rejecting what is proposed. Writing it off to "ego" is a favorite of people.

I have no issue with Medium requiring money for a subscription. I thought I did make clear that I don't see anything at all wrong with seeking to get paid for writing on Medium. I was merely explaining why I don't do that. It could well have been a completely needless undertaking.
