I’m not one of those people who has to have the last word, but that is my point exactly — that contemporary culture has erased the boundaries between beliefs and rational knowledge. You are a product of that culture — the culture that has given us the fans of President Trump.
A person doesn’t have to be an “external observer” to determine what is a belief an what is rational knowledge (or an attempt at it, anyway). I accept that ‘objectivity’, which does require and ‘external observer’, is a human impossibility.
The issue with rational knowledge is whether we have a shared experience of material reality. Certainly, an ethic of justice following from observation within material reality must take that issue into account. I do, but learning about that would require reading more of what I have written, which you don’t seem to want to do.
