I'll say. For one thing, the U.S. has had tremendous inflation since the early 1980's--in assets. Sure, there have been brief interruptions, but the point of the U.S. economy from that time to this has been to sustain an upward march in the prices of assets in this country, to the benefit of the 'investor class'.
