If I may, I do have an idea to contribute (for the record, I do have an M.A. in economics.) : "De-growth with Only Positive Effects" (here in Medium). Without having to change one bit the structure of the existing economic system we can transform the outcomes for society of its functioning: no unemployment or poverty at any level of total output, among other benefits. Demographics would govern output--passively but effectively.

Any nation on the planet could adopt the paradigm. It is politically important, I would think, that there would be no redistribution of anything, no cost imposed on any employer, no limit on income/wealth, and people would not be required to act any particular way, whether altruistically or any other. "A Most Beneficial Economic Change" (also here in Medium) is a "2 min read" with links to other articles about the paradigm emphasizing various aspects of economics (with, for the benefit of 'guest readers', nothing I publish here behind the paywall).
