I thought you might appreciate this: I have developed a paradigm in which "minimum-pay positions" would earn (at least) $15/hr.; $600/wk.--with no taxes. They best part about it, though, is that in it employers would compete for minimum-pay employees, rather than people competing agianst one another for those postions. A respectful attitude towards those employees would be a zero-cost way for them to compete against one another. There is no limit to how respectful people can be towards one another. (People who wanted to get paid more than that could compete for positions that paid more, just like today.)
