In short, all (adult) citizens must have 'enough' materially. That means, especially in the U.S., with our scant public services sector, having a sufficient income.

That could be accomplished through redistribution in some form. Another approach is non-zero-sum: "Two Possibilities within MMT" ('Modern Monetary Theory').

Money would be created as needed to fund a (sufficient) guaranteed minimum income, one for which any adult citizen could become eligible, with built-in safeguards against inflation.
