I reject that the only path to a single, global society in which exploitation would not exist is through armed conflict.

Marx and them recognized capitalism as a necessary stage of human development. We have the means to go from capitalism as we know it to the ideal human society without violence or coercion of any kind.

The path is a "democratically distributed income." It could first become a minimum guaranteed income then be expanded from there, except that now, given humanity’s ecological circumstances, we must start with an expanded version of that income to limit consumption to a survivable level.
