I have to ask, how can a society progress towards a solution without knowing what the solution is?

I submit that you only want to wring your hands and feel good about yourself for decrying 'what's wrong with society'. Changing society for the better requires adults who can commit to a solution. If you know of a better solution than the one I am proposing, by all means apprise me of it--and why it is better. If not, grow up and help further this one.
