I have made much the same argument regarding justice, that human beings have a psychological /emotional need for justice that is often not even recognized. Even if we are not aware of it we still feel an absence of justice, not just for ourselves but for society or even the world as a whole, in an undefined but palpable sense of discontentment.

My studies have taught me that economic inequality, however great, is not in itself an injustice. On the other hand, justice does require for everyone to have 'enough' materially.
