I found this author's style annoying as all get out, but I agree strongly with the point he (finally) made.

It has occurred to me that with God as spirit, the 'Big Bang' (which should really be called the 'Phenomenal Flash') could have been God converting an infinitismal bit of spirit into energy. Scientists tell us that all 'matter' is nothing but (more or less stable) packets of energy.

Since God is infinite, however, this author is mistaken: infinity minus any amount is still infinite, so there is as much of God still in existence as before Creation. Besides, in this interpretation energy/matter is nothing but sprit--God--in another form.
