I find it interesting that in Genesis the (first) creation narrative ends with the 'creation' of human beings. Then Adam and Eve are introduced. Their creation--and therefore their nature as beings--seems to be of a different order. It is as though the first reference to humans is the product of evolution, but Adam and Eve represent something else.
