I doubt Tim Libretti, Ph.D. will deign to respond, so I’ll butt in. A policy to tax wealth above some level is not “fatally flawed” because you’ve “heard of” proposal for setting it at ridiculously low levels. Any cut-off for any tax will always ultimately be arbitrary, but that is the nature of all taxation. It is something we’ll have to live with as long as we have taxes.
