I do think an argument could be made that the Western Allies were happy to let the armies of the Nazis and the Bolsheviks kill one another as much as possible, and that by the time the Normandy landings occurred that was mostly about making sure the Soviet armies stayed out of Western Europe.

At that point the defeat of Germany was only a matter of time. The Reds could have taken Berlin alone then--especially with, as Combs noted, the threat of invasion forcing Hitler to keep a huge force on the Atlantic coast.
