I do agree that faith and science are not mutually exclusive--until one gets to the 'ultimate questions', but those questions can only be matters of personal interest. Whether God created the Universe or not has no significance as far as the realities of material existence are concerned.
One thing my observations have taught me is that beliefs always, inevitably divide people. Our rational capacity, applied to observation within the material existence we share, is the only available possibility for "unity."
I do believe that there is a God and that God created the Universe and (one way or another) all that is in it, to include human beings with our rational capacity, but we all have to understand that our beliefs have significance for one person, and one person only: oneself. My beliefs are of no significance to you; your beliefs are of no significance to me. We can share out beliefs and adopt or reject one belief or another, but we can expect nothing whatsoever from any other person based on any belief we hold.
