I can see only one solution: every citizen employed in any business or government (along with all citizens of retirement age and all adult citizens who were unable to work) would be paid the same income. At this point, sustainability probably requires going that route, anyway. (Any nation could adopt this proposal.) Over time, via 'the free market', prices for all goods and services, as well as the distribution of property of all kinds, would reflect this new approach to income.

This is not something I came up with this morning. It is a fully developed idea. It just happens to resolve the issues raised in this powerful article. It is admittedly a 'wild' idea, but advocating for it is a worthwhile thing to do, regardless of the outcome.
