I appreciate your generosity of spirit. I was afraid my words would appear more negative than I intended. For me, it was mostly that you took so long to get to the point you wanted to make--but I do realize that there are people who need to be brought along slowly.

We do agree much more than we disagree on this point. That understanding God this way removes 'Almightyness' from the equation was for me a revelation. It goes to my biggest question: whether God intervenes in this World or not.

I personally don't know (believe) more about God than that God exists and created the Universe and all that is in it--though how is an open question for me. For the rest, we have to have personal experience of God that reveals more or accept someone else's words about God. I hope that what Jesus is said to have said is valid.

It has occurred to me that the viewpoint that all that exists is in some sense still part of God leads to a kind of pantheism, that there is sacredness in all that exists. I feel that more strongly as time goes by.
