I appreciate very much the analysis presented in this article. I disagree with the conclusion.

I think the goal must be to use the political process to apply democracy to the economy. That could be done via a "democratically distributed income." That could be accomplished in any nation on the planet with a single legislative Act. In the end every nation on the planet is a direct democracy: if enough people demonstrate long enough for such an Act to be enacted, it will be done.
