I agree with this author's fear of the far right, but I think we have to be careful in ascribing 'success' to one side or the other in politics. When I was young, it was 'the left' that was 'on the march'--and people on the 'right' were the ones who were fearful and flummoxed. The depth of feeling and commitment of those who want change will usually exceed that of those who support the status quo. That's why they usually have the momentum.
