I agree--with the whole article. Yet, at the same time we have seen in this world that 'collectivism' can be every bit as destructive.

To my mind, the "false idea” of individualism as it is applied to the governance of society. including the economy, is that it is self-centered. We need to replace that with an other-centered form of individualism.

That makes the ethic of justice mutual respect (of a basic kind: taking one another into account as we live our separate lives together in this world). Adopting mutual respect as the ethic of justice--and governing society accordingly--would take us "Beyond Liberalism," preserving what is good in Liberal society while correcting its mistakes.
