I agree with much of what is written there, but to talk of any groups’s interests versus those of any other is a step in the wrong direction. ‘Us’ vs. ‘them’ is the oldest trap we humans have been setting for ourselves.
I’m saying there is a way to make everyone materially better off. Yes, that means even the Warren Buffet’s of the nation, but those who are at the bottom would gain relatively more. They would get what he has now: absolute economic security — not at the same level, to be sure, but at a minimum income of $15/hr.; $600/wk., plus at least some benefits from every employer, with no taxes of any kind.
To be clear, I am the designer of this new paradigm. (If it matters, I do have an M.A. in economics.) How did I come up with it? By thinking about justice for all, not any ideology that seeks to promote the interests of some over others — which is what all ideologies do.
