I agree that these are things we need to start thinking about. (I recently watched on Netflix a series, Jericho, that, although it has an absurd premise, does a good job of presenting some of the issues that would be faced.) The biggest thing we need to learn in the short time left to us is to know what the ethic of justice is: mutual respect (of a basic kind: taking one another into account as we live our separate lives together in this world). Knowing that can tell us how to organize the political process (some form of democracy) and the economy (specifically, a better way to supply money for it, using the “democratic distributive principle”). A truly universal ethic of justice would obviate any need for political parties.
