I agree that a UBI would be an improvement over the current state of things. There is, however, a better way, one that would eliminate unemployment and poverty without taking anything from anyone--and taxes and public debt (while increasing sustainability): "For Crying Out Loud, Accept That A Solution Actually Exists" (a "3 min read"--including options for further reading--here in Medium).
