Homo sapiens will not perish, but civilization will not survive the cascading series of disasters that are coming. The end of civilization will reduce survivors to subsistence, living in tiny shelters that can be heated with fire using wood for fuel. The mass production of food, to be cooked using environmentally friendly sources of energy in large, centrally heated and air conditioned homes, will not exist.
