Good point: we have been manipulating nature for so long that extracting ourselves from our own creations is pretty much impossible. But I stand by my larger point, that humanity successfully managing nature is a preposterous idea. There are things we can do to correct some of the damage we are doing, such as pesticides, herbicides, deforestation, and of course various emissions.
