First, thanks for an interesting article.

At the risk of repeating a comment (not having read all 61 at this point in time), isn't it for every nation-state to decide what kind of place it will be within its own borders? In that sense, isn't there a 'right' to self-determination for every nation-state? I would agree that any such determination must be the result of a democratic political process to be legitimate, but if it were, couldn't it take any form?
