First, thanks for an interesting and important essay.

I thought this author (and other people reading this article) might find this interesting: "A Gift for Atheists (and other secularists)." It divorces justice from morality, which is always a matter of personal belief--whether sacral or secular. It is an account of justice that follows from an observation within material existence. That provides it with a shared commonality that no belief can ever possess.
