First, thanks for a brave essay. All of this is open to much interpretation, so I could argue with almost any sentence in it.

Most important, though, is the conclusion: "both ideologies have failed to create a just society." With that, I can only wholeheartedly agree.

I have tried to come up with a better idea. I started out thinking about a really just economy (after I finally decided I could not be a Marxist), but I eventually realized that meant having to delve into the whole idea of justice.
