First of all, thank you for some truly outstanding analysis. Given the seismic shocks that have struck our politics in recent times, I have come to the realization that I am now politically conservative. That is, I want to preserve Liberal society: democracy and the rule of law with maximum liberty as its primary concern.

It seems to me that the political rift that has emerged in this nation is making it ungovernable. Nations that are ungovernable inevitably undergo some kind of revolution (transformative change). It can be radical or conservative, regressive or progressive.
