Excellently put. I am convinced that what we really need is a fact-based ethic of justice for governing human relations. This ethic follows from an observation within material existence, not any belief/"social construct" following from a belief. Beliefs and their social products divide people and encourage conflict. A fact-based ethic of justice is our only hope for a truly just and therefore peaceful society/world. Applying that ethic to the governance of society would take us “Beyond Liberalism” (both linked articles here in Medium, but not behind the paywall).
